Another Tragedy...

...more useful idiots.

“Why did Chris die? Chris died because of craven, irresponsible politicians and the NRA. They talk about gun rights. What about Chris’s right to live?” the father passionately continued. “When will this insanity stop? When will enough people say, ‘Stop this madness!’ We don’t have to live like this! Too many have died. We should say to ourselves, ‘Not one more!’”

No.  Chris Martinez died because he was in a gun free zone, deprived of his natural right to defend himself by craven Liberals, where a known and dangerous psychopath knew he could inflict as much as harm as possible on unarmed victims.

Ironically, Richard Martinez is such an useful idiot he nullifies his attack on gun rights in the same paragraph by mentioning a right to live.  If a person has a right to live, then he must have the right to defend his life, otherwise it's not a right.  And if an attacker has the potential to use a firearm, that person also has the inherent right to use a firearm to balance the level of force used against him.

Do We have a Gun Violence Problem?

Or do we have a Liberal violence problem?

The Denver metro area is reeling from yet another "shooting" at a local high school.  The "shooter" shot a student in the head before taking his own life.

My thoughts and prayers are with Claire Davis who is currently in a coma, her family, and her friends.  I cannot imagine what they are going through at this time.

That said, we have to understand why this is happening and I'm taking note of some similarities between these "shooters."  Many of them have direct connections to Liberal organizations or identify strongly with Liberal ideas.  Ironic since Liberals will quickly blame Conservatives and Conservative groups for the violence--which in turn only further incentivizes it as a means to vilify Conservatives (yes, this Liberal-attempted-murderer even supported gun control).

A Lesson in Natural Consequences

And an apolitical one at that!

This is the local story of two dogs that were shot dead last Thursday night.  What some people see as a case of animal cruelty others see as a case of natural consequences.

Before I go any further let me state, for the PETA people, that a do not condone the killing of pets.  The issue here wasn't the dogs, it was the owners.

It all started months ago when the owners, the Lubliners, started getting complaints about their dogs' frequent barking.  They ignored those complaints.  The neighbors then turned to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) for help.  The Sheriff's department has charged the Lubliners twice with animal nuisance.

"Gun Control" is Violence...

...and promises of "gun control" are threats of violence.  Behind every gun control advocate's argument is a desire to harm millions for the supposed goal of saving hundreds.  The ones that know this have a hidden agenda that they dare not share for it will expose their evil nature.

I put "gun control" in quotes because the end-game isn't reasonable restrictions on firearm ownership but rather an all-out prohibition or disarmament.  Liberals have made this perfectly clear in places in Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, etc... where they use taxpayer dollars to prohibit taxpayers from utilizing their sacred, Second Amendment protected, right to keep and bear arms.  A right that has been re-affirmed by every high court that has ruled on the matter including the recent Heller case.

In spite of promises that disarmament will prevent violence, here are the reasons the exact opposite is true...

Chief Gun Grabber Exposed

Something phenomenal happened this week and was mostly missed in the media (as usual):  the leader of the statist effort to ban guns was honest.  No, not in what he said, but what he did.

"New York City Mayor MichaelBloomberg doubled down this week on his call for more gun control following theColorado massacre – suggesting police strike until additional laws are passed."

Now, let’s back up for a second...  We are told by gun control advocates that their agenda is necessary even if it saves just one life.  We are told that the cost of our Second Amendment isn’t reasonable if it unjustly takes just one life.  Obviously this is part of an impossible test for gun rights created for one purpose; completely eliminating private gun ownership.

So how many people would be robbed, raped, and murdered in Bloomberg’s nation-wide police strike?

Opportunity...

...that’s how the Left sees tragedies like those that happened Friday morning in Aurora.

These active shooter events are emotionally exhausting.  After the grief comes anger.  The most frustrating aspect is the vacuum of personal safety created by strict gun laws, an incompetent government that promises us safety but constantly fails to provide it, and an army of useful idiots (Century Theatres [owned by Cinemark] has a no guns policy even for lawful concealed carry permit holders).  And as if the actual shooting wasn’t bad enough, the coalition of gun-grabbers and government “officials” can’t even let the blood dry before they start using this as an opportunity.

Gun Control

Some say that gun control is broken, but that actually isn’t true.  Gun control has done exactly what it was intended to do—disarm the law-abiding public (and nothing more).  A criminal who is about to commit a violent crime with a gun doesn’t care about gun control laws to include magazine restrictions, barrel lengths, types of weapons, pistol grips, bayonet lugs, or actions.  A CRIMINAL DOES NOT CARE.  And thus, gun control does nothing to limit crime while the unintended consequences (empowering criminals) far outweigh any benefits.  This is a well-known and documented fact which is why support for gun control has dramatically decreased in the United States while the agenda of Leftist gun-grabbers becomes more apparent.

Infiltration of Churches

Sojourners (George Soros) has made the infiltration of churches a priority.  I won't discuss why--you should be able to figure that much out for yourself along with the danger.

Currently, this is being done very carefully and quietly.  It is being done in small groups and with a complete misinterpretation of scripture in service.

I recently had the displeasure of witnessing what a conquered church looks like.  This was a "normal" enough looking church.  The people are nice.  Many are older and thus have the benefit of a proper education.  But as I walked around I found the "Soul Journers" room--small groups have their own rooms.

Soul Journers -> Sojouners?!? Just a coincidence...

Why Europe Matters

Lots of eyes on Europe the last few days with people waiting for a "deal" or a "no deal."  Markets are up and down depending on the news which seems to indicate a deal has been struck as of this morning.  The Euros have decided private investors will take a 50% haircut on Greek debt!!!  Yeah, that will work out for them when they need to sell more debt in the near future.

While those of us in America are somewhat insulated from what is happening in the Eurozone, it's important to pay attention.  Here's why....

Some Thoughts about the "Occupation"

As I drove by the screaming Occupy Denver crowd last night, I realized this isn't going away anytime soon.  This is very angry and idle (good combination) group who seem to think that yelling at people will do more good than getting a job and improving their lives--yes, there are jobs out there.

I've also been observing a few other things over the past week...

Watching the Other Hand

Sometimes we like to pretend that the Obama Administration is stupid.  It makes us feel better.  It offers an explanation for almost three years of failure in spite of promises of prosperity and hope.  I can't count the number of times I have heard liberals, who supported this President, say he's inept.  Apparently a newly formed conclusion in spite of the availability of information on this man's lack of experience and credentials prior to the 2008 election.

Genocide

Until now, the comparisons between Obama and Hitler were mostly hyperbole.  Not anymore.  Apparently the President finds the Israelis, and perhaps all Jews, as an inconvenience getting between him and his campaign to embrace Muslim nations.  We all know how this President feels about inconvenient innocent life.

The Giant Sigh

Giant sigh heard in newsrooms across the country as the media finds a disaster to report that isn't the result of Obama & Co. liberal policies.  Not only is it safe to report, it's safe to hyperbolize and policitize!  While the Japanese are suffering and in need of humanitarian aid, we are apparently more worried about energy policy.

Meanwhile, our economic situation continues to worsen with food and energy prices continuing to rise.

Natalie Portman and Anti-Semitism

If you're reading the news, you'll know Natalie Portman has taken a strong stance against the anti-semitic rantings of a Christian Dior employee named John Galliano.  Galliano has subsequently been fired from his position--good for him!

Personally, I find anti-semitism revolting.  I believe I'm in the majority of people who would say the same.

But in 2008 Portman couldn't care less about Barack Obama's strong relationship to Jew haters.  In fact, she didn't just personally support Obama, she actively campaigned for him!  At this time his association to Rev Jeremiah Wright, and the ensuing controversy, was well known. Wright was, and is also pals with Louis Farrakhan and Muammar al-Qaddafi--another name in the news recently.

Lessons from Wisconsin

1.  When a union's bottom line is threatened, it will create an issue

In the case of Wisconsin, it's "about the children."  The state shouldn't cut pay and benefits because it will harm the children.  Never mind that these are modest cuts that are happening everywhere as states wrestle with budget deficits.  Private sector workers have been experiencing this for three years--time for government workers to join the party!

The heart of this issue is actually overturning compulsory union membership (i.e. Right to Work).  The unions know this would mean a substantial pay cut and decrease their ability to further their agenda in the state and throughout the country.

2.  It's never about the children

If it were about the children, the Wisconsin school districts wouldn't be going to court to get their teachers back.  If these teachers really cared about their profession, they wouldn't be harming the education of their students--the very justification against cuts.

We Live in Dangerous Times

While the crazed lone gunman is certainly dangerous, what's infinitely more dangerous is the goals of the radical left and how this tragedy is being shaped by media to suit their agenda.

We now know that Jared Loughner was crazy.  There's simply no better way to describe him.  I have reviewed his YouTube videos and some of his writings.  It's going to be hard to put this monster into any stereotype or ideology, but there's one that certainly doesn't fit; Conservative.  Among Loughner's accomplishments was a drug charge, being rejected from the US Army, and failing to hold stable jobs.  He was an atheist and cited Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto as his favorite reads.

Liberal Violence

You won't read about this on the Huffington Post, but Clay Duke is a committed leftist/liberal who bought into the dangerous class warfare rhetoric being spewed by left wing Democrats.

We were warned about the dangers of the Tea Party.  Janet Napolitano warned about the dangers of Christian, Conservative, pro-life, veterans.  Where is the warning about unhinged violent liberals?

But the most important question is:  How many Clay Dukes are out there?  How many are looking for someone else to make accountable for the bad things happening in their lives, many of which, are the result of their own actions?

The American left has doubled-down on stupid with the class warfare nonsense.  The rich create jobs in this country.  The rich start and grow businesses.  The rich employ Americans!!!  When was the last time a poor person created a job or made payroll?

It seems every time government demonstrates it can't do what the "rich" do we see a resurgence of hatred towards the rich.  It's more than just politicalization, it's polarization and it's dangerous.

Who are the Terrorists Again?

I'm going to keep this simple:  It's payback for the elections.

It has nothing to do with new intelligence or new attempts.  It has nothing to do with keeping us safer, or even maintaining a perception of safety.  Violating the rights of life-long, law abiding, tax paying Americans has never, and will never, keep anyone safe!

This month, the American people voted for less government and more freedom.  It's no longer a "shot across the bow" with Tea Party rallies and conservative talk radio--it's real.

The TSA is the easiest way for this government to strike back and cover it in the name of "security."  It is the only point in our lives where government can literally go "hands on" without meeting a test for probable cause or being accountable via checks and balances.  No one is watching the TSA/DHS and thus they operate with impunity.

The Pot Problem

With Marijuana initiatives on ballots all over the country you would think the country had little else to worry about.  Ironically, that is precisely why I believe so many are seeking legalization; a way to opiate the masses.

If you need any proof of that, read this LA Times article on George Soros' endorsement of California Proposition 19.  Why would a "multi-billionaire investor," who has made fortunes betting against national currencies, have an opinion on this issue?  Make no mistake about it, Soros doesn't care about personal freedom as his network of affiliated organizations assault our liberties on every other issue.  He cares about devaluing the dollar.  What better way to do that then give a segment of America, already depending on government programs, another reason to be dysfunctional?

More irresponsible Americans = more social spending = higher taxes and inflation = weaker USD.

Aside from those seeking an opiate for personal or ideological gain, there are those of us Conservatives who are truly confused on this issue.  Something I like to call...

State Election/Issues

Some thoughts...

Tom Tancredo

While John Hickenlooper claims to be business friendly, and has a decent record as Mayor of Denver, he is a Democrat who will be pushed further and further to the left.  Dems mean death to business and jobs.

Tancredo has a solid record and always put the state first.  It takes an honest man to take on illegal immigration; Democrats want the votes, Republicans want the cheap labor, Tom wants what is right.

It would be a powerful message if Coloradans elected a third party candidate as Governor!  A message Washington needs to hear.
